Humboldt now has two Men's Basketball Players in the 1000-point Club (2021)

The boys’ basketball team has another 1,000-point scorer! Xavier Garcia eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in his career on Saturday against Washington Technology Magnet. He entered the game 26 points away and finished the game with 28 points to help the Hawks defeat Washington 85-49. 

Xavier is a very humble person and he told me he felt shock and a great sense of joy to reach this significant milestone. He was motivated to work towards the 1,000-point club when he saw another player do it his freshman year. Xavier said, “with everything going on this year with COVID it was very special to reach this goal with Brian and with Humboldt.” We’re hoping Brian and Xavier motivate many of our younger players as well. 

The Humboldt athletic department, teachers, staff, and community are very proud of Xavier and his accomplishments and we look forward to watching this dynamic team as they enter postseason play.
